Kellie and Nitro
How does one write about an experience, an interaction, or a conversation where words don’t exist? You can’t. There are simply no words that embody who Ellie truly is. The force, the heart, the voice, the commitment... these are descriptions of what needs to be felt. Ellie has opened herself up to us and our precious babies and this opportunity cannot be missed. The times we have said, “I wish I knew what they were thinking” or “I need them to tell me where the pain is and if I’m helping the right way ...” are countless. I now know what Nitro is thinking. I know he’s a healer. I’m reassured by what I’d suspected in knowing my baby the best and his behavior. I’m also smarter and now know how to remedy what I can and how. Ellie conveyed to me in words what I showed her in photos afterwards. This took my breath away! She and Nitro communicated, and he told her and showed her. Having the chance to know what’s on their minds and how they’re feeling is so precious and so important.
T. S. Eliot wrote in THE NAMING OF CATS, “........But above and beyond there’s still one name left over, And that is a name that you never will guess. The name that no human research can discover, But the cat himself knows and will never confess. ........”
Ellie knows that name. And more.
Ellie communicates with ALL animals.
Including those finicky cats.
