Sarah and Dexter
I am still in so much amazement I am not sure where to even start.
Ellie Laks is one of the most compassionate and kind humans. I first found out about the work Ellie and her husband Jay do with The Gentle Barn through her book. Then I fell in love with an amazing cow named Dudley like thousands of others on Facebook and Instagram. So when I read Ellie would be doing animal communications I had to sign up.
I have always felt a deeper connection with my Australian shepherd Dexter, like we were on a different spiritual plane than my other furries. I will admit when I first started talking to Ellie I was starstruck because I had been following their journey for years, but within 5 minutes in our conversation, I felt like I had known her all my life.
My wife was a bit of a skeptic. Ellie described Dexter perfectly! And just like we both had imagined.....talking 90 miles a minute about his favorite thing in the world, tennis balls! And that he is a glass half full kind of guy full of wiggles and kisses. Ellie also asked him more serious questions about things that I always wondered about like is he happy, is he in pain, and does he actually like his siblings. I could hear Dexter answering the questions in Ellie’s voice, just as if it was his own.
Ellie also mentioned two things that hit me to my core, and these were something no one else other than my wife would know and that is that I get lost in thought and that when this happens Dexter always comes to me and lays his head in my lap as if to say mom I’m here to take it all away, and Ellie knew and explained that is exactly what Dexter has been saying to me! Wow!
My wife is now as much of a believer as I am and I can’t wait to have Ellie talk with my other two furries.
